Two out of three adults prefer burgers over chicken.

The alternate title I had for this entry was "Killing Time". Has anybody ever read "The Phantom Tollbooth" by Norton Juster? Because of that, I feel guilty whenever I use the phrase "killing time". Ah, the things we take away from our childhood.

I started this entry while waiting for my Stats 101 class to begin. This will be my second attempt at finishing this class - given my schedule, it's incredibly hard to be booked in a class from 8-12 every Wednesday for six weeks. I'm on week two. Last time, I attended the first two classes and then got pulled away for an audit. We shall see if I actually get through the whole thing this time.

And then right when I finish up this class, I go straight into an Engineering Design of Experiments class which lasts three weeks, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 8-12. Oh shoot me now.

Anyway. Today I've (re)learned about mean, median, mode, standard deviation, Inter Quartile Range, population, sample, box graphs, bar charts, pareto charts, how to use a program called JMP, and a nauseatingly huge amount of other similar topics. In amongst this boredom, I'm e-mailing with two of my friends here at AcronymCo (because I know this stuff and don't really need to pay attention until, say, week 4), trying to figure out what to do for lunch. It goes a little something like this:

Paul (the instructor, whose desk happens to be next to hers) is going to try and get you guys out of class about 15 minutes early. I can have my car waiting at the front...

:) There is no owing between friends, but for the sake of expediency, I'll take ya up on it and meet you out front at around 11:45...

In the words of the immoral Michael Jackson when he was with the Jackson 5, “I’ll be there.”

It is not yet proven that he is immortal. Personally, I think he's an android.

I do have to say, Paul (the instructor) is a cutie-pie. (Editor's note: Less in the hubba-hubba way, more in the cheek-pinching way.)

I have thought the same a number of times myself. Nice guy too. (Editor's note: Which is the major source of the cuteness.)

I’ll give him some feedback… How ‘bout something like this…. “Paul, although you’re easy on the eyes and in a survey 2 out of 2 women say you’re cute, could you please come up with some more jokes?”

How’s that?

I don't think our sample size is large enough for accuracy.

Gack. Get me outta here.

Ooh! Edamame (sp?) at Kona Grill (which is at the mall)! (It's cheap, I promise)

Oh, wait. There needs to be Meat for Mr. Archibael. (Who is strictly a carnivore and doesn't screw around with greenery. He was an Atkins fan before it was cool. And yes, I know you don't eat *just* meat on the Atkins diet. Hush, you.)

Downstairs in the lobby.

*********************

And then, there was lunch. 41 messages in about a half-hour (count 'em!), and we finally ended up going to Red Robin - which was neither sushi nor chinese nor indian nor mall fast food, and two out of three attendees had burgers (I had a chicken sandwich).

And then I had a 1:00 meeting, followed by a blessed hour of non-meetingness, followed by a 3:00, then a 4:00, then a 5:00, before finally heading home at 6:00. Where I will commence to not think too much because there's something I really want to write about but I can't, yet.

How's that for a reason to keep ya reading? I do what I can.
