I'm missing a week.

Huh?

Okay, it's Friday. A week went by there somewhere and I wasn't around to see it. I'm just now starting to come out of the drug-induced fog that gripped me. *Starting* to. I'm still pretty much unable to form a coherent thought.

I took Monday off. You guys knew that. I even managed to get almost all of the stuff done on my to-do list. I went into work on Tuesday, and got nothing whatsoever done because my computer was being migrated to Windows 2000. Wednesday I stayed home again, mostly in bed asleep. I woke up long enough to get Marie at school, let the DSL guy in (it's done! YES!), and went to class long enough to take a quiz. Then it was back home, into jammies, and watching Temptation Island. Yes, I did. Hush, you.

I'm not going to subject you to a long, drawn-out analysis of the show. I'll just say that I'd love to be at that location, but I wouldn't want to do any of that stuff with anyone other than Calvin. The people who were provided for the couples to "cheat" with are claiming loving feelings and the desire for lasting relationships. Dude, you've known these people for *two* *weeks*. What is there to cry over if that guy chooses some other chick to go on a "date" with besides you? The level of childishness as one person of a couple is shown that the other person is misbehaving, and so goes right out and misbehaves in order to get "revenge", is just pathetic. On "Temptation Island", it appears that behaving like an adult is prohibited.

The only respectable thing I've seen the producers do is pull the couple who turned out to have a child together. I guess it's one thing to encourage a couple to screw with their relationship, but another thing to mess with a kid's stability.

Anyway, here it is Friday. Thursday was spent catching up on stuff and running to meeting after meeting. I've been recovering from the migration. One of the symptoms is having to use Notepad for the time being, because I.T. blew away my copy of HomeSite, and the program disks are at home. So are the PhotoShop disks, though *where* at home doesn't come immediately to mind. Damn. I hope I can find those disks. They cost AcronmyCo $400. Heh.

And I physically have to type in the code for line breaks, instead of clicking on a nifty little shortcut button. Dammit. Ah, well, I guess it's a good refresher of my HTML skills. Not so good for spelling mistakes, though. My apologies ahead of time.

Calvin is off to Flagstaff again tonight, for an overnight job. This is getting *so* old. And, I mean, Friday night? Dude, that's just *wrong*. Marie and I may or may not have a "girl's night out", depending on if she goes to her school dance or not. Which is dependent upon what her progress report looks like. I shall probably mess with my laptop and the brand-spanking-new DSL line in the bedroom, houseclean, work out, and meander about aimlessly. Calvin returns on Saturday evening. We'll probably go to the Renaissance Festival on Sunday. *That* will provide me with a lot of photo fodder for an entry, I'm sure. I get a kick out of the Ren Fest, it's great for food, crafts, and people watching. If you don't mind the kitchy-ness. Which I don't. I *do* mind the $15 admission, but there's not much I can do about it if I want to get my fists on one of their artichokes or bat-sized turkey legs.

So. Just a quickie update to let you guys know I'm still alive. Life (and therefore my entries) will get more interesting as the drug induced fog lifts. You have my word on that.
