Momentary Thought

My nose hurts and my trash can is embarrassingly full of used tissues.

High/Low

High: Payday!

Low: Two more sleeps until Calvin leaves for a week. And mid-terms tomorrow morning.

Current Obsession

Getting the rest of my homework done before tomorrow's class.

Grin Source

Sherry's entry about her weird habits.

Just some quick info for my loyal readers. I'm a sicko again - sinus infection, the details of which I shall spare you because I'd like to maintain my readership. Between that, mid-terms tomorrow, and getting Calvin ready to go for his trip to Chicago (he's flying out on Sunday), I'll probably be a quiet chica this weekend. But some stuff has been happenin' that you might like to know about:

Mission Updates

Esperanca kindly shared some things she does when she's feeling down. In an e-mail to me, she writes:

I've got two ways of trying to ward off depression. One is going out for a few drinks with a good friend who knows when to stop. The whole gamut of scrutinizing and commenting on fellow patrons (bitchy, yes - but immense fun!) does wonders for my mood. The other is a nod to my inner child and go blow some soap bubbles in a park or by the beach. Or just go crazy with paints and collaging. It's more fun than you can think.

Then again, if you're lucky like me, 30 second cute web-videos from your beloved does the trick as well!
Editor's note: In this she's referring to Doogie, who hasn't updated in a while, but who is, as I hear, still alive and kicking.

My weird habits entry apparently inspired Sherry to do one of her own. She asked me first, which I thought was just sweet.

I got a whole bunch of e-mails in response to the weird dreams I mentioned. But I can't disclose any details because I didn't ask any of 'em if I could. Suffice to say, I'm not the only one suffering from overactive nocturnal dreamplay!

It's funny how reader response and communication comes in waves. I've gotten more this week than I have in the past month. Granted, I wrote a lot of them in response to their entries and such, and as my Grandmother was fond of saying, "You've got to write mail to get mail".

Several new readers have been asked to be Notified - welcome!

And I got a great new entry for Storyteller from Jayne of Periphery. The link to her submission is here. I shall post April's topic on Sunday or Monday. I'm such a bad, bad collab mistress for not posting an entry for my own collab for March. However, April's topic will be kind of fun, and I already have an idea of my own for it.

Through my various communications and e-mails that I've received saying "hi!", I've added a couple of new links to my "must read" category. justme.org, and Distant Sun. Both look to be great, so go check 'em out!

I know I'm forgetting something that I wanted to mention. Ah, well, it'll come to me and I'll send out a quick "Hey, I remember!" message to my Notify list. I'll try not to be too whiny next week while Calvin's away, but the way I'm feeling about it right now, there's no guarantee that I'll be able to pull it off.

Take care, see ya in a couple!
