Enumerate

  1. Calvin and I had our fourth wedding anniversary on June 29th. We went to Rula Bula for some Irish cuisine, and went on a crazy CD-buying binge. Among them were the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever, The Cranberries, Joe Cocker, Judas Priest, a greatest hits album of Don Henley's, Loverboy, Godsmack, a Phil Collins greatest hits, and Foo Fighters.

  2. Calvin got a new job. His opinion about it is still in the process of being formed.

  3. My sister accidentally called me, twice, and started talking to me like I was one of her daughter's friends. It took me a good minute, both times, to convince her of who she was talking to. Then she laughed, told me she'd call me back in a minute, and then never called me back. Both times.

  4. I read the latest Anita Blake novel by Laurell K. Hamilton. It was somewhat disappointing. I'm hoping for the return of a plot in the next book.

  5. Back to school this semester - Marketing Management. My counselor says that my Assessment of Prior Learning (all the crap that I've learned on the job and in AcronymCo's various training classes) will bag me the equivalent of between twelve and fifteen classes. I'll finish this (fucking) degree by the end of the year!

  6. Calvin and I have actually decided to make a significant life change. We're currently perusing the job market in Maine, and in Maui (extremes, much?). It's more likely that we'll find employment and a lifestyle we can afford on the east coast. The technical job market and pay rate is somewhat larger in New Hampshire (plus, no sales tax! woo!), so I'll probably search there, too. Living in the desert has finally done us in, this year.

  7. We're having a girl's night out on Saturday and going dancing. Lilly is joining me and two of my girlfriends. I will most likely take and publish embarrassing pictures.

  8. After having my gallbladder removed (almost exactly a year ago!), no one instructed me on any life changes I might need to make, now that I was missing an organ. It recently became obvious to me that something was not right with my body, so I'm seeing my nutritionist to figure stuff out. I'm having a blood analysis done that has my blood tested against something like 120 different foods, to determine which are able to be digested and utilized by my body, and which my body essentially "rejects", causing the problems I've been experiencing. Results will, of course, be shared in glorious Technicolor(tm) detail.

  9. Calvin got his hair cut short. I've always thought he was handsome, but now it seems that when I see him again after a short separation - say, at the end of the work day - my heart does a little pit-a-pat. After eight years! That's cool.

  10. Everyone in the household is still getting along, and Marie hasn't killed Michael yet. Robert parrots just about everything that comes out of our mouths, and hollered out, "Bucker!" in the midst of one of Calvin's animated conversations this evening. Devlin glares at us and points his finger and "talks back" in his jawa language whenever we scold him for something. Roman is holding his head up with 90% success and is no longer satisfied to sit passively in his swing. He needs to be entertained, and if he is not being entertained to his satisfaction, his squeals reach the for-dogs-ears-only range.
And now, some pictures.

Munch mouth.

Milk buzz!

Walking a mile in Grandpa's shoes.

I don't know what Robert is saying, but clearly Devlin doesn't believe a word of it.

Lilly turned her back for one second, to change Roman, and when she looked up she discovered that Robert and Devlin had, well, taken a powder.

Devlin is very proud of his work.

So is Robert.

THIS, my friends, is Radio Ga-Ga. It is a nightly request. Freddie Mercury would be so proud.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Next American Idol!! Except they'd blur out the hand gesture. My clever little grandson.

Oz, on Tuesday.

Michael and Roman, with our friend Dimitri in the background.

Uhhh... I think Daddy had some tequila.
