| Today has just not been a Good Day. Actually, it started off Quite Bad. Crap from yesterday rippled into today's mood, and to top it all off, Calvin was away from home last night, and might possibly be away tonight, too. He's doing a job in Flagstaff that requires him to stay over. It has just thrown my routine completely out of wack, and y'all know how important my routine is. Yesterday afternoon, upon dropping Marie off at home after school, I observed that Michael neglected to clean the kitchen as he was instructed to do that morning (Marie did it, bless her). Marie saw fit to ignore her bedtime last night and as a result woke up late this morning, thereby cancelling our plans to grab breakfast before school/work. The dogs barked, growled, and wrestled with each other all night, interrupting my already screwed-up sleep (no Calvin). I woke up to find lights on in the kitchen and living room, after asking the kids repeatedly to turn out all the lights when they go to bed. Being out of my routine, I didn't get coffee this morning before work. Upon getting to work, it took me twenty minutes to log into the network. Upon speaking to Calvin, it seems he may have to spend another night away from home. I am covering the daily morning Ops meeting this week. I'm in a four hour MBP session this afternoon, in which I am presenting. Today is most decidedly *not* a Good Day. Yet, on the other hand, a bunch of cool things have happened over the past few days that, when thought about, do quite well to alter my State Of Grumpiness. The Good

Your Mission, should you choose to accept it...
Inspired by my re-read of "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeline L'Engle- go to the library and check out a book you read as a child. Read it to yourself, or read it out loud to your significant other or child. Some good suggestions from my experience - "The Last of the Really Great Wangdoodles" by Julie Edwards. "Danny, Champion of the World" by Roald Dahl. "My Side of the Mountain" by Jean Craighead George. "The Lord of the Rings" series by J.R.R. Tolkien. The "Anne of Green Gables" series by L.M. Montgomery. "Little Women" and "Little Men" by Louisa May Alcott.
Results From Yesterday's Mission Did y'all have a good day off? It's been awfully quiet out there... I grabbed the design idea for the box thingy from Anna.
