O Kissmiss Twee, O Kissmiss Twee!

Our Christmas treeHere it is (notice, if you will, that we went with "classy" tree), it all its evergreeny glory. Our "kissmiss twee", as I used to pronounce it when I was little. We got it last night, decorated it at about 9:30, and then sat around watching Saturday Night Live (and I am *so over* the election skits). Marie had two of her friends over (which seems to be becoming a weekendly habit), and we got a ton 'o candy at the grocery store, and a couple of movies (which they watched and we didn't).

Been busy all weekend, which is why I haven't updated since Thursday. House cleaning, gift shopping, gift wrapping, and tree trimming, all completed. Calvin noticed that I haven't updated, and insisted that I have a responsibility to my readers to update every day. I countered that that wasn't the expectation of my readers, and that's what I have a notify list for. He disagreed, and suggested that I poll my readers on their thoughts. So:

Reader Poll

Do you, as my readers, have the expectation that I update my website every day? Do you, as my readers, have the *desire* that I update every day (the two are not mutual)? What are your impressions (if you're not on my notify list) when you visit my website and see that I have not updated? Do you experience frustration? Disappointment? Are you less inclined to keep me as a "favorite" because I do not update every day? Please e-mail me and let me know your thoughts. I appreciate it!

And, for your viewing enjoyment, a few snaps taken this weekend...

Fuzzy animal ornaments In order to achieve the "classy tree" look, some non-classy (yet cute) ornaments needed to be left off the tree. However, being short on Christmas-type decorations, I wanted to spruce up the place a little bit, so these puppies got relegated to the hearth. Much eye-rolling from Calvin was received.
More eye rolling for these babies, too. Of that you can be quite assured. Santa's workshop ornaments
Our nativity scene One of the few decorations we do have - our Nativity Scene. Anybody know why it's called that? Or why it's also sometimes called a "Creche" scene?
More wrapping! Notice, to the left, the HP box. This contains my scanner, from Calvin. He intended to purchase it without me and give it on Christmas morning, but he wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. Whee! Look for fruits of this particular labor soon (including Calvin's adorable childhood pictures). Presents!
