More or less
We did our tree on the 17th last year. And is it me, or do they look very much alike?

This one is image heavy, so if you've got a slow connection you may want to go fix yourself a PB-n-J while you wait.

We had such a fun day today. We had lunch at Calvin's mom's restaurant, traded the Crappy Rental Car for a Crappy Rental SUV (the truck's still in the shop), and bought our Christmas tree. Calvin and I decorated it while listening to Christmas music. And then, after we dropped the girls off at the mall, we had an excellent meal of filets, shrimp, baked potato, salad, and pinto beans. And tonight, we're watching Rush Hour 2 and munching on the munchies we bought this afternoon.

This Very Fun Day, following a Very Fun Evening we had last night. We went to watch Mark (for the sake of this website), AB's fiance, in a bull riding competition at Rawhide. We wandered among the shops and admired the lights, and had dinner at 10:00. I hadn't eaten all day because of the chores, and then drank a beer, a shot, and another beer at Rawhide while watching Mark. Suffice to say, I was silly. Meaning buzzed. A guy was telling me that we would get a "Very Special Gift!" with the purchase of a $500 ring. I said "What, a kiss?"

The Very Fun Evening following the Very Good News that Calvin got yesterday at work. Not only did he get a raise at his review on Monday, yesterday he learned he got promoted, with *another* raise to go along with it! I can't begin to tell you how terribly proud I am of him. His work ethic proves that, no matter what economic conditions may be like today, he deserves to get rewarded for his hard work.

Anyway, I intended to let the pictures speak for this one, since I want to watch the rest of the Suns game with Calvin, and then watch the movies we rented. Enjoy!

Bathtub of Lurve

Proof that I got at least one of my chores from yesterday done - these are the decorative whatnots I bought at House To Home, for our bathroom. *God*, I love that tub!

Juan Valdez. Or someone.

Calvin, making coffee before we started decorating the tree.

She's getting too big for this.

Calvin, hanging Marie, hanging the angel.

Elves they are not.

Marie and her friend.

Marie playing Santa.

Really Kewl Rock (RKR)

A Really Kewl Rock that Calvin bought while we were at Rawhide last night.

Bulb lighted from behind

One of the bulbs on the tree. I was trying for dramatic.

Angel

Another drama shot, of the angel.

The Christmas Dudes.

The tree... and the tree...

...and the tree again.
