Innocent conversation gone horribly awry.

Myself and a gentleman in my group were the first to arrive in the conference room for our daily morning start-up meeting. As we settled in we made light conversation, waiting for the others to arrive.

Him (peeling a clementine): "I love these things."
Me: "Oh, I know, I could eat ten of them in a sitting. Are they in season right now? They're all over the place."
Him: "I think they are. I know that they sell blueberries aggressively when they're in season, so it's probably the same for these."
Me: "Mmm, blueberries. There used to be some blueberry bushes near my grandmother's house."
Him: "Fresh ones are the best. I eat whole pints at a time."
Me: "Grandma and I used to go out and pick blueberries right before she cooked them in something."
Him: "Fresh blueberry pie is wonderful, hot from the oven with vanilla ice cream."
Me: "Yep. Gram and I would pick 'em, and it'd be like, two hours from bush to pie."

At which point he gave me a strained look and then started cracking up. I blinked for a second, and then fully realized the words that had just come out of my mouth. Obviously I can't be trusted to hold up my end of even the most innocuous conversation.

How could I forget?

For some reason, until I dug it out and listened to it again tonight, I somehow forgot just how perfect the soundtrack to Serendipity is.
