November is now closed.

I have a ton of blog reading to catch up on! I’ve been guilty of “skimming” since early last week, so later on today I’m going to go back through my blogroll and actually read. After football, after laundry, after soaking and feeding the lizards, and after tending the hot tub. Also, after checking on [...]

Our taste in music has bipolar disorder. Last night’s Zia Records purchase: Disturbed – “The Sickness” (2000) Disturbed – “Indestructible” (2008 ) Faith No More – “The Real Thing” (1989) and… Sarah McLachlan – “Closer – The Best Of” (2008 ) ———- Mr. Adam Avitable is holding a holiday giveaway. I. Must. Win. I will [...]

So, the dishwasher went on the fritz yesterday (won’t drain), and allllllllll of the pots and pans and plates and cups and utensils used in the making of the Thanksgiving feast will have to be washed by hand today. What, did you think I was going to do it last night? BWAAHAHAHAHAHAAAA. It was also [...]

Happy Stuff Yourself Silly Day!

There’s “I’m thankful for…” posts all over the innernets today. Great big long, meaningful, well thought out posts of magnitude and oomph. This is not one of them, except to say that I’m thankful for Calvin, all of my readers, my friends and family, my job, my health, my crazy pets, and that gas prices [...]

Shorty

Posted: 26th November 2008 by Tiffany in Calvin, Home, Journal, Music, Video

This is going to be a short entry, since I have a craptastic amount of stuff to get done today. It’s just 8:00 in the morning, and it’s dark and rainy outside. The thermometer on the patio says about 55 degrees (f), yet I have all the doors and windows thrown open. Hey, I can [...]

Putting off the inevitable.

Gah. It’s nearly 11:00 and I’ve gotten nothing useful done yet today. Calvin set the alarm for 8:00, but when it went off I was still suffering from the killer headache that started last night. So I re-set it for 9:00, took some Tylenol, and went back to bed. It went off at 9:00, I [...]

Detritus

When a house has been a home for a certain amount of time, stuff collects. Possessions. Keepsakes. Stuff you use every day, stuff you shake the dust off of once or twice a year. That’s fine. Unfortunately, what ALSO collects is… well, stuff.  Detritus, indistinguishable as to source and identity. Stuff in corners, stuff under [...]

Regarding Twilight: After work on Friday Jen followed me home so I could leave the truck for Calvin’s use, then she and I went to her sitter’s to pick up her son and a couple of folks who would be joining us for the movie. We met the rest of our party at the theater (there [...]

Purely quota

Went to the squee fest last night.  A good time was had by all.  Spent most of the time during the movie laughing my ass off. Went to a beer festival today.  An afternoon of LOTS of drinking, and a nap.  Not sure which caused the hangover.  Lots and lots of pictures. More tomorrow.

Bringing wine and crackers for ALL THE CHEESE.

I am going to see Twilight tonight with Jen and a group of her friends. It’s going to be a big ol’ adolescent girl squee-fest, so I’m attempting to get in touch with my inner thirteen-year-old. The trailers and clips I’ve seen thus far pretty much ensure that this is going to be the CHEESIEST MOVIE [...]
