Hi gang! So, this site “re-launch” is kind of underwhelming, isn’t it? Things still look and feel pretty much the same to you guys, right? That’s because Jennette of Make My Blog Pretty did an AWESOME job of keeping the extent of the changes to the background. So that YOU, my faithful and loyal subjects readers, could continue to enjoy the same quality content that you’ve come to idolize expect.

My blog is still in the WordPress framework, but being hosted on Dreamhost instead of the free version of WordPress. All of the archives are in one spot, instead of spread across the ‘verse. I can finally use Snerkology.com. I have some neat new doohickeys on my dashboard that are providing me with fascinating stats information. Eventually, I will ask Jennette to do a complete redesign so that I can have a customized look rather than using a template that hundreds of other folks use. But I thought that might be too much of a task to ask of her, to combine a consolidation AND a redesign. She might not have let me hire her. So, one thing at a time.

I’ve been wanting to get this done for a long, LONG time. And MAN am I grateful that I hired someone instead of trying to install full WordPress on the web host server, and transfer everything over, myself. Just some of the minor stuff that I have access to via the dashboard is beyond me.

Administratively speaking, all of the links to the old blog(s) and its (their) entries still work(s). So if you come across older entries that have links embedded to other areas of the site, they’ll still take you to the relevant page. They’ll just take you off of the WordPress site and back onto the original site. This also applies to the links on the “Best Of” page. Eventually I’ll get around to updating everything so that they’re all pointing to the WordPress versions. Eventually.

As it stands, you all have the ability to move forward and backward through the archives by using the Archives drop-down to the left, as well as the “older” and “newer” arrows at the end of each entry. Alllll the way back to September of 2000. As I mentioned in the pre-”live” post, update your feed readers to snerkology.com/feed, and your links to snerkology.com, and all will be right with your world.

Thanks for sticking around!
