Check out the past pictorials: 2010, 2009, and 2008. I wish I had done this from the very beginning, but I think I’ve got a nice little trend going here!
January:
We enjoyed a Jeep Weekend, which inspired us to set a goal to buy one of our own!
February:
Not a lot of photos, but I did make Bill laugh until he almost pee’d. And we went to Schnepf Farms to see the peach blossoms.
March:
Again, not a lot of pictures, but we went shooting, I set some financial goals (of which we accomplished about 80%), and I posted this unfortunate photo from the past:
April:
We experienced First Friday in Flagstaff:
And we spent the day in Tucson:
May:
I traveled. I met Bill in Chicago while he was on a business trip with Larry, then continued on from there to Maine to visit with my Uncle Fred and Aunt Simone. That trip was the last time I saw Larry, and the last time I saw Simone.
June:
Larry passed away. We went to a beer festival and raised many glasses in his honor.
July:
The cats cracked me up. I got a much-coveted lens.
August:
We got our MotoSquee on.
September:
I attended a photography workshop and worked with a model for the first time:
October:
There was football and guns, and we went to Santa Fe.
November:
Aunt Simone passed away. A mated pair of owls took up residence in our backyard. I took a bunch of pictures of drops of water. I took a bunch of pictures of guns (and boobs).
December:
Bill’s dad passed away, and we bought a Jeep. We proceeded to use it.
It has been a tough year. There have been some wonderful highs and extreme lows, more-so than any other year in recent history. I’m not absolutely sure that I’ll be posting here again before we get back from our trip up to Wyoming, so just in case I’d like to wish you all a very wonderful Christmas, New Year, and 2012. Thank you all so much for being my friends, for continuing to stop by, and just for being you!!!
Love to you all!

Merry Christmas, Laura and Calvin (sorry, I still have problems making the mental shift to Tif and Bill). I love reading your blog, love your pictures (which has motivated me to take my very expensive and underused Nikon off of AUTOMATIC and actually, you know, USE IT) and love being a witness to your great marriage. Next time I’m in the PHX area for business, we should try to get together for a drink – on me (actually, on my expense account-I will have to say the following words: life insurance, annuity, disability insurance for it to be a legit expense). And if you ever find yourself in central Iowa (I know – why would that ever happen?), I’ll be your tour guide! Actually, the Iowa State Fair is one of the 1,000 things everyone should experience before they die and I’m just the girl to show it to you!
Have a wonderful season!!!! Thanks for all of your hard work just to keep me entertained!
Hee! It’s okay, you’re allowed to call us Laura and Calvin still. You’re one of my longest-term readers, I’m glad you still stop by!!! I’ll keep a trip to Iowa in mind, you never know!
I love these end of the year recaps you do. As always you photography inspires me to try harder with my own.
I hope you guys have a wonderful new year, and may the 2012 Zombie Mayan Apocalypse find you stocked up on ammo and canned food!
Oh, what a nice thing to say!!! I do like doing these, it’s fun to look back at the past ones and say, “We did that!”
Happy New Year, and we’re having an End Of The World party that you’re invited to!!!
