Gadget was reunited with Gypsy on Monday. He had congestive heart failure and his medications just weren’t making him comfy anymore, so it was time to say goodbye.
After having this little dog as part of our lives for 14 years (we had Gypsy that long, too) it’s really tough to come to grips with the fact that I won’t be seeing his silly little face peeking at me thought the back door, won’t see his mad circle-scramble at dinner time ever again. He was the first pet we all got as a family and we’re sure going to miss him.
He was the best, and nuttiest, of boys.

So not fair! Turtles in the ocean with no personality live to be 100. I really dont understand “the plan” on that. My baby is getting up there and I cannot imagine that time. I feel so sorry for your loss. They are truly the best family members. Take care.

I am really so sorry, Tiff. Like I said on FB, Gadget was my favorite of your pets. I hope he’s banging ditzily back and forth between the fences at the edge of the Rainbow Bridge.
I’m so sorry, Tiff! It’s incredibly difficult. Of my pack of 6, 4 of them are about the same age. Roxanne is getting up there rapidly. Rapidly. And soon she won’t be able to climb the stairs back into the house. Her time approaches all too soon. And it’s always too soon, even if we have 14 wonderful years with them, as you did with Gadget. Not only does he have Gypsy waiting with him, but he’s got Freya too. He’s in good company.

So sorry, Tif and Bill! I never would have understood this feeling before our dog (the only dog I’ve ever loved) died last year.
