I tried to over-commit to an unreasonable television schedule (and yes I did the thing with the spreadsheet again), but in the end only picked up four(!) new shows – Whitney, Terra Nova, Grimm and Once Upon a Time. I tried Ringer and gave up after about three minutes into the pilot episode. I only watched half of the pilot episode of Pan Am before I gave it up. The Playboy Club was canceled before I could watch anything on the DVR, so I just deleted them. After seeing a particularly AWFUL commercial for Charlie’s Angels I ripped that one right off the schedule. I tried to hack Person of Interest but Jim Caviezel just kind of creeps me out.

For those of you dying to know the list of shows we follow:

Castle
Hawaii Five-O
House (just me, Bill can’t stand the whiteboard thing)
How I Met Your Mother
Two and a Half Men
Mike & Molly
Terra Nova
Glee (OH REALLY JUST ME SO VERY MUCH BECAUSE THERE IS SINGING AND DANCING… and you know? I’m so underwhelmed by this season that I may drop it.)
Criminal Minds
Modern Family
Grey’s Anatomy (SO VERY MUCH JUST ME AS WELL ALSO, SERIOUSLY)
Bones
Big Bang Theory
Supernatural (MINE! I don’t care that Bill doesn’t watch it, I can drool in peace. Over the CAR.)
Fringe (Just me, now. Bill used to watch. I think they lost him at the alternate universe thing.)
Rules of Engagement
Californication (starting up again in January!)
Walking Dead
Covert Affairs (just me, Bill hates the way Auggie looks in random directions)
Sons of Guns
Top Gear
Being Human (starting up again early next year, and viewed by just me – there are vampires. and werewolves. and no nudity. hence, no Bill.)
Whitney
Leverage (just me, I think because Wil Wheaton shows up occasionally and Bill has a strong DISLIKE. However, Wil also shows up on TBBT and he watches that… hmm… this theory requires additional thought…)
Strike Back (The season just ended and Bill hasn’t watched it, though I suspect the graphic violence, ADULT THEMES, military toys and abject nudity will draw his interest once I point them out to him. The show was SO AWESOME that I have no problem whatsoever seeing them all again.)
Grimm
Once Upon a Time

We watch other shows during winter/spring/summer seasons, too (Rookie Blue and Warehouse 13 recently ended, for instance). Clearly the invention of the DVR has done BAD THINGS TO US. It’s a wonder I have any time to get anything useful done.
