Dramatis Personnae

Laura
Laura
That's me. Maine native. My bio is here.

Calvin
My significant other. Stunning sense of humor. It's his ability to make me laugh that drew me to him in the first place. Plus, he's sexy as hell. And he has a motorcycle. We got married in June of 2002.

Marie
My step-daughter. Absolute sweetie, but with *that* quality that makes me think high school will be a challenge. She's just too darned smart, and so much like her dad it's scary. She lives with us full time.

Michael and Lilly
My step-son, seen here with his wife Lilly, whom he married in January 2003. Michael joined the Marines in June of 2001, and we went to see his graduation in September 2001. Here is the story of our introduction to Lilly, complete with the news that a) they were married; and b) Lilly was pregnant.

Anthony
This is our first grandson, born in September 2003. There are a million entries of him, like here, and here, and here, and here, and here...

Devlin
This is our second grandson, born in November 2004. Entries about him can be found here, and here, and here, and here...

Grandma/Grammy
I was brought up by my Grandmother, who gave me a wonderful childhood. I have a lot of entries about the memories that I shared with her. She passed away in August 2001, and I miss her horribly.

Gypsy
My Gypsy dog, who has been with me since before Calvin and the kids. Our Monday night tradition was to sit on the floor in the living room, eat nachos, and watch Ally McBeal. I *adore* this dog, even though she would eat me if it came right down to it. She's a food whore.

Gadget
The first puppy that we bought as a family. He of the shit storms. Wicked cute, and he knows it, and gets away with murder.

Oz
We got Oz in August 2002. He's a Bengel cat, and the most challanging pet we've ever had. He's so damned SMART he'll kill us all in our sleep one night, I swear. I love him to pieces.

Juno
Juno was a replacement for Marie's bird, who flew away. Cute animal, if smelly. We gave him away to one of Marie's friends in mid-2001.

Kye
The biggest dork of the Earth, Kye. Calvin wanted a German Shepherd - well, he got one. And then, we gave *her* away to an elderly couple who would dote on her and roam the country in their RV with her. And let her tear up their window screens. And dig holes in their yard.

Heather
Heather is one of the best friends I have. She used to live in Arizona, but then she moved to Chicago in 2004. She's happier there, but I sure do miss her. This is a pic of us at Christmas 2003, "The Christmas With All The Tequila". Heather also has her own website.

AB
AB is one of our good friends. AB has a fun, happy, smart little daughter, too. And a brand new baby as of September 2004! We hang out when we can - we're both the type of friends each other needs. Low maintenance, we drop from each other's radar for months at a time, only to reconnect again as if no time had passed.
X(f) Calvin's ex. She lives two miles away from us. 'Nuff said. Enough people have asked - "X" is obvious, (f) is for "female". To differentiate between my ex and Calvin's.
X(m) My ex. Not much else to say about him, either.
Archibael My friend from AcronymCo. Our e-mail exchanges are the stuff of legends.
Susan My half-sister. Still lives in Maine with a bohemian family of four children - five if you count her husband ~grin~.
Animal Planet Our home. So named because of Gypsy (our Beagle), Gadget (our Mini-Pin), and Oz (our Bengel cat). Plus, you know, the humans that live in the household aren't all that sophisticated, either.
AcronymCo My place of employment.
