Three Fishes Who Had Three Wishes
by Sabine N.

Once upon a time, there were 3 fishes: a gold fish, an angel fish and a zebra fish. They came upon a mermaid who had special powers. Said the pretty woman with the long green fishtail; "I can grant each of you a wish."

The gold fish was first to answer: "I'd like to swim in a pond where I can be pampered and feel the sun on my back."

The mermaid blinked her sea green eyes and the gold fish became a large prized koi swimming in a very large well cared for pond.

"I'd like to be a fancy fish in an aquarium where everyone comes to see me." wished the angel fish.

Again, the mermaid blinked her sea green yes and the angel fish was soon swimming with exotic fish behind a thick wall of glass with people pointing and commenting.

"And so what would you like?" asked the mermaid of the zebra fish swimming lazily around her long fish tail.

"Me?" quipped the fish. "I already got my wish - peace and quiet without those other 2 moaning all day."

The mermaid's laughter tinkled like a falling brook. She liked how honest the fish was. Staring at the zebra fish, she dove into the water and caught him in her hands. The fish sputtered and gasped and then suddenly realized it was no longer a fish but a man. And when the man looked, he found the mermaid had become a woman. As their eyes met, they knew without a doubt, it was love at first sight!
